GROW YOUR FAITH
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Hebrews 4:12 (NLT)
BENEFITS OF REGULAR BIBLE READING
The Bible is an ancient text with a rich history. its impact on the world is immeasurable. For Christians, the Bible is a central part of their faith, and studying it is essential to understanding and deepening their relationship with God. Here are four reasons every Christian should read and study the Bible regularly.
FOUR REASONS WHY CHRISTIANS SHOULD READ & STUDY THE BIBLE
Reading the Bible every day has numerous benefits for Christians. One of the most significant benefits is that it helps individuals grow in intimacy with God. By reading the Bible, Christians can better understand God's character, nature, and will for their lives.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT JESUS?
Presidents and potentates are not the answer to the issues arising from the sinful nature of fallen humanity. How can a mere human satisfy the wrath of God? Unless that human being is also the Son of God — the Word made flesh who came to tabernacle among us (John 1:1, 14)!
THE ALL-ENCOMPASSING POWER OF THE GOSPEL
Our mission is to herald a kingdom wherein all its citizens find freedom through the death, burial, and resurrection of its king. A kingdom where captivity, powerlessness, blindness, and oppression give way to the overwhelming love of God, the grace of Christ, and the fellowship of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:14).
THE GIFT OF POWER & AUTHORITY IN CHRIST
How often do believers fail to act in God’s power and authority because of fear of what might happen to them? Anxiety over the unknown prevents more missionary calls than a lack of resources ever did. Christ has conquered death; therefore, His followers must step into the mission with confidence that He is able to keep, protect, and preserve them in every facet of life.
HEARING, FAITH, AND OBEDIENCE
Everyone has faith! Every person who lives or has ever lived has exercised faith in some measure. You say, “Well, what about the person who doesn’t know Christ?” They have faith, just not the kind of faith that brings them to salvation (at least not yet).
The difference between Christians and non-Christians is not faith: it is the object of faith. In other words, a Christian’s faith is in the person and work of Christ alone. The non-Christian’s faith is in something other than Christ. The faith of Christians is built upon the work of the Holy Spirit and the word of God. The non-Christian faith is built on a different, less eternal foundation.
